Specialist Dietitian-Led Guided Self-Help for individuals facing disordered eating and eating disorders, including binge eat

I’m Emma, a registered, fully insured specialist dietitian with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals with disordered eating and eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and binge eating disorder.
I work with both individuals and families to support recovery in a compassionate, practical way, helping you rebuild trust with food, reconnect with your body, and move towards a more balanced relationship with eating.
My approach focuses on helping you understand nutrition in a way that feels safe and reassuring, so you can eat a wider range of foods without fear. Alongside this, I support you in developing skills to manage emotions without relying on food abstinence or overeating. This helps you step out of cycles of restriction, bingeing, counting calories or unnecessary restriction.
The goal is long-term, sustainable change, so you can feel more at ease with food, and better able to care for yourself.

I offer online consultations for children, young people, and adults. Whether you’re looking for one-to-one support or you’re a family supporting a child with disordered eating, I’m here to help.
My approach is always tailored to you, taking into account your individual needs, experiences, and goals.
I also recommend working alongside a suitably qualified therapist as part of the recovery process, and I’m happy to suggest trusted professionals to support you on your journey.
Please book a discovery call if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The approach we take will depend on your goals for recovery and where you are in your personal journey. For some clients in the early stages, a meal plan can provide structure and guidance around what and when to eat. For others who have been struggling longer, we may focus on different aspects of food exposure, learning about nutrition, or building confidence around eating.
From our very first appointment, I will work to align our goals so that our sessions are tailored to your needs and progress.
I currently offer consultations online, which allows me to support and reach as many people as possible, wherever they are located. This way, distance is never a barrier to receiving help and guidance on your recovery journey.
The approach and duration of support are highly individual and depend on factors such as how long disordered eating patterns have been present and what is driving the behaviour. I can provide a more personalised guide during your initial appointment.
